This is a portrait of…
-
• Buster Keaton
-
• Marcel Marceau
-
• Charlie Chaplin
-
• Peter Sellers
Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton were both masters of physical
comedy. Chaplin was the more sentimental and Keaton the more
athletic of the two. Marcel Marceau was a mime, which is an
especially tragic type of clown. Peter Sellers, the man of
a thousand voices, is not to be confused with Peter Sellars,
the radical theater director who once staged Shakespeare in a
swimming pool.
